FAQ

Got questions about our Christian childcare centres? We’ve got answers! See below for some of the questions we find parents commonly ask us.

Q: What sort of activities do you have available for the children?

A: So many! The children get to experience painting, playing in the sandpit, climbing, bike riding outside, carpentary, making things at our art tables (collages, crafts, etc), experimenting with play dough, joining in for music & movement, baking and cooking in the kitchen, mat-time – where they listen to Bible stories and participate in role play games, and of course, nap time! There is always something interesting going on at our centres.

Q: Are parents allowed to come participate in all/part of the lessons?

A: Yes, we are a family-oriented childcare centre and welcome both parents and grandparents to pop in any time for some/all of the day to spend quality time with their children and participate in whatever activities are happening.

Q: Do you have a free trial option?

A: We believe in easing children into the routines of the centre, so usually arrange up to 3-4 free visits for new parents, where your child can join in and get a feel for the routines until you feel happy to leave them for a full day.

Q: What values/principles do the children learn?

A: As a Christian childcare centre, we believe in teaching children biblical principles and values such as the Fruits of the Spirit. Our teacher’s actively role-model being responsible, showing consideration for others, sharing, and making everyone feel welcomed. We want all of our childcare centres (Mt Wellington, North Shore, and Queenstown) to be the same in that they feel like the children’s second home.

Q: How many children per group?

A: Each childcare centre has a different capacity, North Shore is our largest centre with spaces for up to 128 children. Within each of our childcare centres there are dedicated rooms for different age groups. It’s best to simply make an enquiry for the centre you have in mind to see if there are spaces available.

Q: What about special dietary requirements?

A: Our cook is very adept at handling various dietary requirements, we have children who can’t eat dairy or gluten, etc. We work with each parent to ensure that your child gets the right food to fit their dietary needs and any allegeries they may have. There is no additional charge for special meal preparation.

We hope that helps, and warmly invite you to ask your questions the best way – in person!

If there’s still something you’d like to know, feel free to book in a trial visit so you can find out everything directly from one of our friendly teachers. You can also take a moment to meet the team (virtually!) here. We look forward to your visit.
